Edwin Brown Fisk was born in Lee, Oneida County, New York on March 15, 1815, the son of Polly Wilkinson and Jabez Fisk. He married Adeline Sanborn in Waukesha County on January 30, 1844 and the couple had five children: Frances Helen Cornish; Marshal Sanborn Fisk; Almeda Gallup; Charles Jay Fisk; and Edwin Delbert Fisk. All three boys died of tuberculosis as young men. He came to Winnebago County prior to 1850 and owned a large farm at Fisk's Corners, WI. He moved into the City of Oshkosh in the late 1860s and held several small political offices. Edwin died in Oshkosh on November 29, 1891.
