Group portrait of the 1885 reunion of the Oshkosh Everatts baseball team. The nine former members pose in three rows wearing vests and shirts. They are from L to R, front Row: Henry Bailey, Henry Harshaw, Moses Hooper, 2nd row: Fred Badger, Le Grand Pearl, Morris Jones, 3rd row: L.D. Harmon, Dan Forbes, Thomas Daly. Organized in 1865 by Henry B. Harshaw (their one-armed pitcher) and named for Oshkosh High School teacher, Arthur Everett. They continued until 1872. They were the first team organized in the city of Oshkosh. They played against teams from the neighboring communities of Green Bay, Madison, Berlin, Fond du lac, Neenah and Menasha. In 1885 they regathered and played the Oshkosh Amateurs. This photograph was taken at that time.
