Harold Arthur Reif was born June 18, 1900 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of Arthur E. and Alice H. Reif. He registered for the draft in 1918, but did not serve during World War I. He was involved in Carroll's Waupaca Band, Cadet band, and the 127th Infantry band in 1913-1927, he was not involved when he married Maria Altrude in 1930. Harold lived at 309 Vine Street in Oshkosh when he played in the band. He was secretary in both the Cadet Band and 127th Infantry Band. |
