Officer's Summer Garrison Cap: khaki cotton; leather sweatband; no insignia present; inside stenciled in black "NWR". Nile W. Roeder was born in Oshkosh, WI on November 11, 1917. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and served on a destroyer doing convoy and antisubmarine duty. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He married Lois R. Mathwig on October 5, 1946. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and worked at the Continental Clothing Company for 43 years. He died in Oshkosh, WI in June 1979. |
