Description |
A) pair of metal opera glasses. Raised on the outside of each barrel is a garden scene with flowers, birds, and flying insects. Each barrel is has the same elements but is not symetrical in design. B) Hard, leather wrapped, case. The leather looked to be black or dark in color at one point but is now a mixture of light and dark brown. There is a metal latch that at one point may have locked but no longer does. The inside of the case is blue. The inside portion of the lid has the manufactures name in gold lettering. It reads, "Birley & Son/ OSHKOSH". Per donor "Mary Evans Wright's opera glasses" |
