Description |
A olive green jacket worn by Lyle Hayes during WW2. The jacket is button up and has four gold button along the torso. Each button is large and round and holds the seal of the United States in them. There are two breast pockets with similar bottons along with two pockets at the hip or waist, again with similar buttons. On both sides of the notched part of the jackets lapel is a pin. On the right hand side is a pin which has "U.S." raised on it. The one on the left hand side has an image of wings with a propellar between them. This is used as an identifier to show this person is in the Army Air Corp. On each sleeve is the rank insignia of a sergeant first class. This insignia itself is green an in front of a dark blue background. There is a patch on the left shoulder that is of the 15th air force. the Patch iself has a star in the middle with wings stretching from the sides of it. there is a dot inside the star that appears to have been red at some point. There appeared to be yellow thread behind the star and wings but has since been dameaged to where only a few strands still remain. encompasing the star and wings is a circular border. The star, wings, and border are the same dull gold color. |
