Description |
WWII honorable discharge regulation military patch, diamond shape, green in color, with gold eagle in circle embroidered at the center. Commonly called the Ruptured Duck. According to the story associated with this patch it was affectionately called the Ruptured Duck, because the eagle faced to the right in the same way that doctors instructed inductees to face when told to cough while checking for ruptures. Commonly worn on civilian clothing to identify veterans. |
